Things To See

Gawie Crocs

Gawie Crocs is a crocodile farm that breeds with crocodiles, situated just outside Swartruggens, 60 km west of Rustenburg. We have 132 nile crocodiles in the breeding dam. Here they are fed on Saturdays and Sundays @ 13h00. They feast on meat supplied by a local chicken farm.

Nile crocodiles are very dangerous reptiles that survived from
160 million years ago.

Out in the wild, they have been shot out the last 50 years. In captivity, at least the crocs can be protected from becoming extinct. There are now about 60 registered croc farms in SA.
