In 1987 , Fernando Duarte invited his then friend Robbie Brozin to a Potuguese restaurant in Rosenttenville, South of Johannesburg to try out his unique Peri Peri Chicken. Robbie proclaimed this the best chicken he had ever tasted. The two gentlemen purchased the restaurant and thus Nando’s was born. Today the taste of Peri – Peri has spread to well over 1000 restaurants across the globe.
